Spiral Screw
The Ammsun anchor has a metal corkscrew design. The purpose of this screw is only to help you screw the anchor into the ground – it will not really help to hold the anchor in the sand as the diameter of the screw is the same as the diameter of the pole.

What Features Should The Best Beach Umbrella Sand Anchor Have?
To choose the best umbrella anchor you will need to consider a few important points.
Anchor Material
There are only two options in terms of material choice for sand anchors.
- ABS Plastic: This is a strong and durable plastic and should also last a very long time.
- Metal: metal anchors will be stronger but heavier than plastic anchors. They will also last a very long time but be careful as they should be cleaned after use to prevent them from rusting. Although they will be painted to protect them they will last much longer if looked after.
Screw Design
There are two main screw designs you will see with modern umbrella anchors.
- Auger Spiral Screw: This is the most common type of screw currently available.
- Corkscrew Spiral: This design is less common, and will only be found on metal anchors.
Pole Diameter
You need to check the diameter of the pole which you want to use the sand anchor with.
Most of the anchors are a universal fit and have a screw which you can use to tighten against the umbrella pole.
